It is an ideal career for people of all abilities, providing that you are at least 21 years of age and have held a full  driving licence for at least 3.5 years (before you begin training).

To become an instructor you must pass three DSA/DOE Examinations:

Part 1              -         Theory & Hazard Perception Test

Part 2              -         ADI Driving Test

Part 3              -         Instructional Techniques Test

Once all these examinations have been passed you are given the title Approved Driving Instructor and you will be registered on the DSA’s/DOE’s list of Approved Driving Instructor, and you will be licenced by the DSA or DOE to give driving instruction.
